the Rescue

Somewhere in a distant land there is a hardened fortress built into a mountainside; it is said that a dark wizard resides there. Deep within is a dungeon, and inside there a princess hangs limply within a cell, held up only by her manacles; her name is Karen, and her body is so thoroughly relaxed that she almost appears lifeless. Her arms feel no discomfort, despite the awkward angle of her body, though the tiny strain of her bodyweight has brought out some of their tone.

Meanwhile behind the wizard`s throne room Princess Karen`s soul is scanning through various documents and maps, trying to discern the wizard`s evil plan for her kingdom. She had evaded several cleverly laid enchantments about the room, and was glad of the opportunity to do this while the wizard was away, for she was unsure the wizard would not detect her presence.

She had barely learned the gist of it when the keen hearing of her body detected a familiar voice. Willing herself to the source, the princess curses, "what the hell is HE doing here??"

Outside the castle Prince James Worthington II, a favorite suitor of the princess, has assembled a rather large rescue party to storm the fortress.

Princess Karen is partly flattered by his efforts, and yet, she finds herself mostly annoyed at his timing, also concerned for his well being. The wizard may be gone, but this place is far from defenseless. Karen realizes that unless she acts, Jim will very soon be her late favorite suitor. The Prince was not unskilled in battle, by any means, but he had brought with him only one hundred men; they would be slaughtered by the beasts and enhanced guards within.

Wasting no time Karen returns to her body and pulls herself upright with ease. Willing the shackles free, she does take a half a moment to stretch her amazing physique. Knowing she will have to return to this cell, Karen decides to leave it intact if possible. To that end she sits near the wall and carefully pushes the large stone blocks into the next room, her legs bulging larger than her waist, yet hidden well under her flowing dress. Feeling her quadriceps she laughs, wondering how it is that men never seem to notice her muscles, and thinking perhaps they are too distracted by her `other` attributes. "The prince will learn of them soon", she muses, finding herself aroused by the thought, and sincerely hoping the rumors of his manhood are true. He had better be worth the effort, she thought as the last stone came free.

Little did she know, that outside the castle at that very moment, the prince was having the same thought, "she had better be worth all of this, and not some mindless courtier with whom he could never carry on a real conversation." Either way she was well endowed, he thought, and perhaps that was enough.

Back inside the dungeon the princess decides to test the chains in the second room. She finds herself almost disappointed with the ease in which the floor-pin gives; it hadn`t even given her a good flex, she thought as she wrapped the chain about her shoulders for later use. Perhaps the prince should know about her temper, for it was only this mild aggravation that led to her decision to punch the next wall... once. Rubble from the stones broke the wall past that and the ceiling above split in two but held. In fact, the entire fortress shook from that impact.

Back outside, the prince`s encampment was startled by the loud crash, many of the men nervously prattling about the rumor of an ogre defending the keep. "Ogres... rubbish. It`s a mountain, things fall from time to time", the prince confidently says to settle the ranks, though he himself wonders if it is true.

High along the wall and unbeknownst to the prince, fifty of the wizard`s best archers were taking careful aim at the rescue party, each holding their fire until all were ready, hoping to maximize the damage. Their first volley would cut the prince`s men in half, or at least it would have, had they been able to fire. But it was the archers that were cut in half, not by rank, it was literal bisection as the princess dashed down the length of the wall with one mighty swing of the chain. The stroke had begun a hundred feet earlier and ended by shattering several stones in the far tower, a distance she had covered in under one second. The shackles she had ripped from the cell were no longer of use, but they had served their purpose.

Karen felt ill about causing such harm, but knew that a battlefield is not the place to entertain inner conflicts. Beside which she reasoned that these were no longer men, they had been twisted by wicked magic into... well, she wasn`t sure what, but they were evil.

Yet the beastly appearance and strength of these once-men gave not even the slightest challenge to this muscle maiden. She tossed their bodies into a large entertainment pit in the wizard`s throne room, so as to not raise the prince`s suspicion with bodies strewn about. Karen slew and disposed of more than a hundred man-beasts in just a few short minutes; she did so humanely, primarily by over-rotating their necks, thus severing their spine. Only a few were subjected to a more brutal death.

Knowing that Jim forgot to bring siege equipment, not even a good door ram, just a stupid rope-suspended log, Karen rushed to the front gate. It is a huge wooden structure with a heavy oak bolt across it. Karen lifts the fourteen foot wide, eight inch thick oaken bolt off the door and lowers it to her shoulders. Taking care not to snap all the way through, the princess pull down mightily on the hardwood, the heartwood bolt could not resist. It creaked and cracked, then nearly splintered in two.

Karen heft the now much weaker bolt back into place just as the rescue party began to ram. The great doors jostled in a low thud, but did not look like they were ready to quit. Karen mused to herself that this may take these poor men awhile to get through.

Her reverie was short lived, however, as she heard the heavy footsteps of the ogre approaching behind her. It was monstrous, at least twelve feet high and built like a titan. If that weren`t concern enough the men outside were making progress on the gate. "No, no, no... not now...", the princess mutters as she picks up the ogre and runs awkwardly back to the throne room to toss him in the pit. His thrashing about nearly causes her to lose her balance, twice, but she makes it and hurls the beast mightily into the pit. Princess Karen shudders as she hears the massive squish of the bodies under it, the ogre itself still alive and dumbfounded, which for it was nothing new.

But that squish was not the only sound she heard just then, the rescue party had also breached the gate and were charging in. Karen rushes back to her cell, telekinetically restoring the wall and is about to re-shackle herself when she notices her arms. She smiles admiringly at their present nineteen inch pumped state, as brought about by the events of the day, but realizes this will be a problem to hide. Karen quickly goes about rubbing and massaging her mountainous biceps while meditating on them, trying to work the blood back out of them and relax.

The princess manages to get the swelling down to about thirteen inches, re-shackles herself and goes limp, just as the cell door opens.

Prince Worthington orders his men, "don`t just stand there, somebody find the keys!" At which point the manacles fall off and the princess slumps into his arms. "Never mind... I guess wizards can`t afford good security or quality fortifications", he muses, "they make it too easy to escape. A man like myself would have been out of here in no time... bloody amateur."

***EDIT2***

Okay, this is a thing now... we are go for game-dev: www.patreon.com/posts/thousand…

This will be adapted to a shadowgate-like game engine that will have the basic single-player PSL rulesystem.

I will open that engine up for mods and other stories once its finished.

Then it will be adapted into a full multi-player tile-based(2D/3D tiles) PSL engine.
